Bishop of British-Irish Nectarius
Nektarije (secular name Ratko Samardžić; Sarajevo, 18. May 1983) is a British-Irish bishop and former Vicar Bishop of Yegar (2022-2024).

He was born 18. May 1983. in Sarajevo, from Father Nemanja (†2009) and mother Nada (B. Remy). He started elementary school in Sarajevo and finished in Gothenburg (Kingdom of Sweden), where his family moved due to the war in the 1990s.

The seminary of St. Peter of Dabrobosanski was completed in Foca in 2003. years. After the seminary, he continued his education at the Moscow spiritual Academy in the period from 2003-2006. years. Postgraduate studies continue at the Faculty of Theology of the Kapodistrian University (2012-2016) and the Faculty of Theology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2016-2019). At the Faculty of Theology in Thessaloniki, he defended the work under the theme "pastoral reviews of the ecclesiology of St. Nectarius of Edina".

In the rank of small Shima is a monk 1. June 2007. years. In the rank of hierodeacon he was ordained the next day 2. June 2007. 16 years old and the priest. June of the same year. He was decorated with the dignity of Archimandrite 21. July 2013. years in the monastery covered the Most Holy Mother of God.

At the regular May session of the Holy Assembly of bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church 2022. he was elected bishop of Jagar, Vicar Bishop of the Serbian Patriarch.

Day 26. November 2022. in the Cathedral Church of St. Archangel Michael in Belgrade, he was appointed Bishop of Jagar, Vicar Of The Serbian Patriarch.

Day 27. November 2022. in the Memorial Church of St. Sava in Vracar he was ordained bishop of Jagar, Vicar Of The Serbian Patriarch.

Day 18. May 2024. the Holy Assembly of bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church elected him bishop of the newly established Diocese of British-Irish, based in London.
